Helmut Pigge

Helmut Pigge (born September 28, 1919 in Berlin ; † 2000 ) was a dramaturge and screenwriter .

Life

Pigge took acting lessons from Erich Fisch in Berlin from 1942 and studied philosophy at the Philosophical-Theological University of Regensburg and the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in Munich . Since 1947 he was a member of the Halcyon Academy in Saló and since 1953 a correspondent .

From 1955 to 1959 he worked as a dramaturge at SDR . He then headed the main television department until 1961 , before turning to scriptwriting and producing himself. Pigge is considered the father of television gaming with live productions.

He received his doctorate in 1954 from the University of Munich with a thesis on the history and development of the Regensburg theater from 1768 to 1859 and was the editor of the program booklets of the Aachen room theater .

His written estate is in the archive of the Academy of Arts in Berlin.
