Helmut Sandrock

Helmut Sandrock (born December 15, 1956 in Übach-Palenberg ) is a German football official and former general secretary of the DFB .

From 2000 to 2002 the former DFB junior national player was chairman of the board of the MSV Duisburg . In the organizing committee of the DFB for the 2006 World Cup , Helmut Sandrock was tournament director from 2003 to 2006. From 2006 to 2008 he was managing director of FC Red Bull Salzburg , with which he won the Austrian soccer championship in 2007. Sandrock worked for FIFA as general coordinator at the 2006 and 2007 FIFA Club World Cups as well as the 2009 FIFA Confederations Cup and the 2010 World Cup . He also organized the first home game of the Palestine national team for FIFA in 2008 .

In 2008 he became director of games, talent development, coaching and the junior national teams of the German Football Association at the DFB. On March 2, 2012, Sandrock became Secretary General of the DFB. He also became the UEFA Integrity Officer in 2012 . In February 2016, Sandrock resigned as DFB General Secretary. Friedrich Curtius was his successor .

From June 19, 2017 to August 31, 2018, Sandrock was Managing Director of Karlsruher SC . He ended this position at his own request.
