Helmut Voitl

Helmut Voitl (* 1939 in Dresden ) is an Austrian documentary filmmaker .

Helmut Voitl studied photography and film at the Graphic Education and Research Institute in Vienna from 1957 to 1960 . He has worked as a director, cameraman and screenwriter since the 1960s. Since 1973 most of his works have been created in close collaboration with his partner Elisabeth Guggenberger.
