Helmut Werner (clown)

Helmut Werner (born October 9, 1936 ; † August 22, 2014 ) was a Swiss clown and actor .

The short Werner was originally supposed to be a lawyer , but preferred to go to the circus as a clown . The companies for which he worked in the course of his life included the Circus Paula Busch , where he completed his training in 1952, the Circus Pilatus , the Circus Nock and the Circus Olympia of the Gasser family. However, he was best known for his participation in the 18-part television series "Salto Mortale" . There he played a clown who sidelined with stock market transactionsconcerned and was only too happy to provide his circus colleagues with appropriate tips. At the time Werner had a commitment at the Circus Krone , where much of the movie was filmed action.

Werner spent his old age in a nursing home after suffering several strokes .
