Helmut Hans Wipfler (* 1944 in Pforzheim ) is a former German motorcycle racer .

Life

In the 1960s, Helmut Wipfler took part as a private licensed driver in numerous national and international races in the 125, 350 and 500 cm³ classes. One of his greatest successes was winning twice the Bremen fishing port race, which is still held today . At times he was one of the most internationally successful German drivers in the Grand Prix area, especially in the “premier class” up to 500 cc. The racing machines driven by im include u. a. a 125 cm³ Maico, a 350 cm³ Aermacchi as well as an AJS "Boyracer" and a 500 cm³ Seeley-Matchless G 50. After his time as a racing driver, he passed the master's examination in the automotive trade, which he completed as the best of his year. At times he worked as a racing mechanic at Porsche [(Porsche]) in Weissach on the legendary Porsche 917. After that he ran his own car workshop in Königsbach-Stein for years . He is married and has a son who works as a doctor . Today he lives in wine presses with his wife . He continues to be involved in the motor vehicle sector and has been a member of the journeyman's examination committee of the Guild in Enzkreis for many years . He also works as a guild expert on arbitration issues. In addition, he works as a development engineer and inventor for internal combustion engines with the Stupferich youth workshop and the Fraunhofer ICT in Pfinztal, among others .
