Helmuth Delbrück

Helmuth Delbrück (born November 4, 1891 in Stettin ; † April 6, 1957 ) was a lawyer and in 1945 provisional mayor of the city of Itzehoe .

Life

After studying law at the universities of Berlin , Geneva , Munich and Halle , which he completed with the first state examination, Delbrück was awarded a doctorate degree at the University of Halle in 1914/15 with a thesis on "Contestation and set-off as procedural acts with civil law effects". iur. PhD . After passing the Great State Examination in 1920, he initially worked as a lawyer and from 1926 also as a notary in Stettin.

On June 23, 1945 he was appointed acting mayor of Itzehoe by the British military government . In the same year he was replaced by Carl-Christian Arfsten , who was elected mayor by the council . After Delbrück had worked as city director in Itzehoe for a short time, he became a judge at the Higher Regional Court of Celle in February 1946 , and he soon became its vice-president.
