Helplessness Blues is the second studio album by the American indie band Fleet Foxes . It was released on April 29, 2011 in Europe and on May 2, 2011 in the USA in stores on Bella Union / Sub Pop , but could already be heard as an official stream a few days beforehand.

The recordings took a relatively long time, the album should originally have been released much earlier. When mixing the recordings in New York in September 2010, the band became dissatisfied with the source material and played many songs from scratch.

Reviews

Like its predecessor, the album received very good reviews from critics. The Independent awards full points, plate tests online eight out of ten points and Rolling Stone four out of five points.

In the German music magazine Visions , Helplessness Blues was named “Album of the Month May 2011”, with an average score of 9.2 out of 12.
