Helsetskarvet is a largely icy mountain region in the Heimefrontfjella of the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . It extends between the Hasselknippenova and the Johnsonufsa .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named the area in 1987 after the Norwegian officer Olaf Helset (1892–1960), a leader of the military resistance against the German occupation of Norway during World War II .
