Hemisilurus is a genus of fish from the family of the real catfish (Siluridae), which includes three species found in Southeast Asia.
features
The fish are 50 to 80 cm long and have an elongated body without a dorsal fin and with an elongated anal fin . The muzzle is short, with a lower mouth and a short gap in the mouth. The eyes are in front of the posterior nostril. The barbels on the upper jaw are long and flexible. The pelvic fins have eight or fewer rays.
