Jutta Krellmann (born January 7, 1956 in Johannisberg (Rheingau) ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ) and trade unionist . She has been a member of the German Bundestag since October 2009 .

Life and work

In 1975 Krellmann completed his training as a chemical laboratory assistant and then worked in pharmaceutical and chemical research. From 1979 to 1982 she studied economics at the University of Economics and Politics in Hamburg without a high school diploma . From 1984 she had an ABM position to look after a union unemployment initiative in Hameln; from 1985 she was union secretary at IG Metall in Hameln. Krellmann is still working for the union today.

Krellmann was a member of the SPD for many years . Due to Agenda 2010 and retirement from 67, she left the party and helped found the WASG and later the Left . In the state elections in Lower Saxony in 2008 , she ran in the constituency of Hameln / Rinteln , but with 7.3% did not make it into the Lower Saxony state parliament .

In the federal election of 2009 she ran in the federal constituency of Hameln-Pyrmont - Holzminden . It made it into the Bundestag via fifth place on the state list . Since 2009 she has been the chairwoman of the Left in the Committee on Labor and Social Affairs and spokeswoman for labor and participation in her parliamentary group. She is also a full member of the Enquete Commission on Vocational Education and Training, as well as project groups 2 and 5 of the Enquete Commission. Krellmann is an alternate member of the Health Committee.

In the 2017 federal election , she was re-elected to the Bundestag via the state list.
