The Hemmersuppenalm is a large alpine pasture area in the Reit im Winkl forest in the municipality of Reit im Winkl .
The Hemmersuppenalm is divided into Lower and Upper Hemmersuppenalm . Numerous Kaser on the Alm are under monument protection and are registered in the Bavarian monument list.
Origin of name
The name of the Hemmersuppenalm is derived from the White Germer , which is locally called Hemmer . The plant is poisonous and cattle do not eat it. The White Germer thrives particularly well in damp, swampy sections on the alpine pastures, which are also known as soup . This resulted in the Hemmersuppenalm .

The Hemmersuppenalm is bumped , the Hindenburghütte and the Sulznerkaser are served.
