Hennadij Hryhorowytsch Bilodid ( Ukrainian Геннадій Григорович Білодід ; born July 22, 1977 in Kiev , Soviet Union ) is a former Ukrainian wrestler , judoka and samboist .
Life
He started judo in elementary school in Kiev.
He took part in the Olympic Games in Sydney in 2000 , but was eliminated in the quarterfinals because he was too passive against Anatolijem Larjukovem .
In 2001 and 2003 Bilodid won the European Championships.
At his second Olympic Games in Athens in 2004 , he was eliminated in the second round.
At the Olympic Games in Beijing , he came in 7th place. When new rules were introduced in 2010, he gave up his sports career. He now works as a trainer. Together with his wife Svetlana Kuznetsova , he has a daughter, Darja Bilodid , who became the youngest judo world champion of all time at the age of 17.
