Henning Fangauf

Henning Fangauf (* 1954 ) is the deputy director of the Children's and Youth Theater Center in the Federal Republic of Germany in Frankfurt am Main , editor of books with contemporary theater plays and author of numerous contributions to theater.

Life

He studied German and history in Hamburg. From 1981 to 1989 he was dramaturge for drama at the theaters in Coburg, Osnabrück and Bremen. The current focus of his work is the promotion of playwrights and international exchange in children's and youth theater. He has also published several books on drama and children's and youth literature. He was the publisher of the theater library at the Heinrichshofen Bucher publishing house and publishes current youth pieces for German lessons in the pocket library series at Klett Verlag. Fangauf is a member of the advisory board for the promotion of the independent theater of the state of Hesse and chairman of 'Interplay Europe' e. V., association for the implementation of a European festival for young dramatists. He organized the first two Interplay Europe festivals in 1995 and 1998 in Germany. Fangauf regularly works as a lecturer for the Goethe-Institut .
