Henning Müller-Buscher

Henning Müller-Buscher (born December 8, 1944 in Leipzig ) is a German music publisher .

Life

Henning Müller-Buscher studied business administration , musicology and geography in Frankfurt, Würzburg and Regensburg. After completing his doctorate on Georg Böhm in 1977, he founded Laaber-Verlag in Laaber near Regensburg and in 1980 took over Arno-Volk-Verlag . He bought the Frits Knuf publishing house in the early 1990s, and expanded its book program in the years that followed. He headed the publishing house until 2016.

Müller-Buschers Verlag has published countless publications by Carl Dahlhaus , among others , including important encyclopedias, studies on musical genres and biographies, facsimiles and reprints of essential sources on music history. A clear focus is the large series of manuals on music history.

The Kronos-Buchversand as well as the Figaro-Verlag GmbH belong to Müller-Buscher's company foundings.

His lifetime achievement became a commemorative publication of Bach's world. His life, his work, his time honored.
