Henning Rathjen (born December 1, 1948 in Homfeld, today a district of Aukrug ) is a German trotting driver , horse trainer and breeder . In his career as a harness racing driver, he achieved 5,652 race victories.

Life

Henning Rathjen completed an apprenticeship as an agricultural assistant before he started his career in trotting in 1970 as a professional driver with Peter Kwiet in Berlin-Mariendorf . His greatest successes include the two-time German runner-up championship, the eighteen-fold north German title win as well as numerous victories and placements in international competitions. He lives in Aukrug-Homfeld, has a second marriage and has two children. Since the end of his active career, he has been running a stud farm and a holiday farm in the Aukrug Nature Park .
