Henning Schellerup
Henning Schellerup (born January 3, 1928 in Denmark , † May 12, 2000 in South Jordan, Utah , USA ) was a Danish-born cameraman and director for American films.
Live and act
Little is known about Schellerup's early years. Henning Schellerup grew up in Denmark. He came to the USA on March 17, 1952 and was naturalized there on December 20, 1957.
He was already 40 years old when he started working for the cinema. His first demonstrable work (as a camera assistant) was the film Das Schiff der liebestollen Frauen . These, as well as almost all of his follow-up work, were B-Pictures produced cheaply, sometimes also exploitation - and blaxploitation - trash with a high sex and crime factor or horror elements, and had titles such as porn travel to the sex goddess , up and down - I can again , The Buggy-Bumser , shirt up or I'll shoot , Black Starlet , Mama's Dirty Girls , Curse of the Headless Horseman , Kiss of the Tarantula and Planet der Monster . In 1977 he shot a more serious film with a new version of the adventure fabric The Last of the Mohicans shot for television .
In 1987 his career as head cameraman ended, afterwards Schellerup worked until 1991 as a simple cameraman or second-unit cameraman. In the 1970s, early 1980s and early 1990s he directed a number of sometimes obscure films, most recently two semi-documentary television productions that dealt with biblical traces.
Henning Schellerup then ended his film career and settled in the US state of Utah in 1994, where he died six years later.
He had been married since November 1951 and had several children.
