Henri-Victor Vallois

Henri-Victor Vallois ( April 11, 1889 - August 27, 1981 ) was a French anthropologist , paleontologist and anatomist .

For over 40 years he was one of the leading anthropologists and paleoanthropologists in France and also dealt with comparative anatomy of vertebrates. In 1941 he succeeded Paul Rivet as director of the Musée de l'Homme in Paris and was professor at the Muséum national d'histoire naturelle and director of the Laboratoire d'Ethnologie des Hommes actuels et des Hommes fossils.

From 1932 to 1970 he was editor of the Revue d'Anthropologie. He has produced over 400 scientific publications.
