Henri Cukierman

Henri Cukierman (born February 11, 1944 in Nice ) is a French businessman who was awarded the Prix ANDESE and is also the holder of the Knight's Cross of the Legion of Honor , the Ordre national du Mérite and the Ordre du Mérite agricole . He is the brother of Roger Cukierman , President of the CRIF , and the uncle of Édouard Cukierman (Go4Europe / China).

Life

He was born as the son of the Jewish couple Max and Miriam Cukierman, who had previously fled from Pétain to the Italian zone around Nice . Since the parents had to go to the clinic for delivery, his older brother Roger was hidden with nuns and his mother ordered him to say, "If they hold me, you don't know me, go away and say to me," Goodbye, madame "" ("Si l'on m'arrête, tu ne me connais pas, tu files et tu dis" au revoir madame "»). Henri Cukierman graduated from the École polytechnique . He also earned a doctorate in economics and an MBA from Harvard University .

From 1975 to 1987 he worked for the Crédit Agricole bank . Henri Cukierman was CEO of the Compagnie parisienne de réescompte (Parisian rediscount company) from 1988 to 1999 . From 1996 to 1999 he was chairman of the Association française des sociétés d'investissement (French association of capital investment companies). He was the director of Boursorama , the first online bank in France. He headed the Financial Transactions group of the Mouvement des entreprises de France (MEDEF).
