Henri G. Fehr (born February 2, 1870 in Zurich , † November 2, 1954 in Geneva ) was a Swiss mathematician. He was a professor of mathematics at the University of Geneva .

Fehr studied in Geneva, at the ETH Zurich and in Paris, where he received his licentiate as a teacher in 1892. He then taught mathematics at secondary schools in Geneva and from 1895 to 1900 as a private lecturer at the university, where he held lectures on projective geometry and differential geometry, among other things. In 1899 he received his doctorate from the University of Geneva with a thesis on vector calculus and vector analysis by Hermann Grassmann . In 1900 he became professor of algebra and higher geometry at the University of Geneva (Faculté des Sciences). He was professor and later dean, vice-rector and rector at the University of Geneva and dedicated himself in particular to the organization of science and mathematics education. In 1945 he retired.

1913–15 he was the second president of the Swiss Mathematical Society , which he founded with Rudolf Fueter and Marcel Grossmann in 1910, and from 1935 its honorary member. He was also a co-founder of Commentarii Mathematici Helvetici and L'Enseignement Mathématique . He founded the latter magazine in 1899 with his friend Charles-Ange Laisant (1841–1920). She was dedicated to mathematics education and tried to maintain international contacts and international understanding without national preferences. In 1908 he was involved in the founding of the International Mathematical Teaching Commission (IMUK) in Rome and was its first secretary. Even after the re-establishment after opposition during the First World War in 1928, he was its secretary and he was also involved in the re-establishment as ICMI in 1952.

From 1905 to 1909 he was President of the Swiss Society of Mathematics Teachers.
