Henri Guaino

Henri Guaino (born March 11, 1957 in Arles ( Bouches-du-Rhône )) was the speechwriter of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy .

From 1982 to 1986, Guaino was an economist at Crédit Lyonnais and lecturer at ESCP Europe and the École Normale Supérieure de Saint-Cloud (1984–1987). He later became deputy general secretary of the Paris Club (1987–1988) and lecturer at the Institut d'études politiques de Paris (1988–2003).

From May 16, 2007 to May 15, 2012, he was the author of all of Sarkozy's speeches.

In the parliamentary elections in France in 2017 , he was eliminated in the first ballot. He then announced his retirement from politics and described the voters of his constituency as "sucks".
