Henri Lauvaux

Henri Lauvaux (born October 9, 1900 in Châlons-en-Champagne , † July 19, 1970 in Paris ) was a French long-distance runner .

At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, he was eleventh over 10,000 m . In cross-country he was fifth in the individual classification in the heat battle of Colombes, which has gone down in sports history, and won bronze with the French team.

In 1928 he did not reach the finish line at the Olympic Games in Amsterdam over 10,000 m.

In 1924 he became national runner-up over 10,000 m with his personal best of 32: 46.8 minutes , and in 1928 he took the title over the same distance.

His older brother Gustave Lauvaux was also successful as a cross-country runner.
