Henri Negresco (* 1868 in Bucharest , Romania , † 1920 in Paris ) was a French hotel owner of Romanian origin.

Negresco was born the son of an innkeeper in Bucharest. At the age of 15 he left his homeland and went first to Paris and then to the Côte d'Azur . He soon made a career there and eventually became director of the casino in Nice . He soon intended to build a luxury hotel in the Belle Époque style that would only accommodate the world's most affluent customers. After securing the financing, he commissioned the architect Édouard Niemans with the planning. This is how the famous Hotel Negresco, named after him, was built in 1912 on the Promenade des Anglais in Nice.

The hotel was an instant success, but it only lasted until the outbreak of World War I. The hotel became a military hospital. Negresco then ran into financial difficulties. Under pressure from creditors, he had to sell the hotel a few years before his death.
