Henrik Hansen (born September 16, 1979 in Risskov ) is a Danish handball player who is mostly used on the back center .
The 1.97 m tall and 99 kg heavy right-hander began his professional career at Århus Håndbold. In 2006 he moved to the Spanish league ASOBAL to BM Altea . After Altea ran into financial difficulties in 2007, he joined BM Torrevieja . After three years in Spain's top division, the German Bundesliga club TuS N-Lübbecke signed him , with whom he reached the Final Four in the 2009/10 DHB Cup . Since 2011 he's been playing for Århus Håndbold again.
In the Danish national team , Henrik Hansen made his debut on May 31, 2003 against Iceland and played 30 international matches in which he scored 36 goals. At the European Championships in 2006 he won the bronze medal.
