Henrik Hecht Knudsen (born March 6, 1982 in Haderslev , Denmark ) is a Danish handball player . He is 1.83 m tall and weighs 87 kg.

Knudsen, who plays for the Norwegian club Stord HK , is mostly used as the center of the back room.

Henrik Knudsen made his debut for KIF Kolding in the Danish first division. There he won the Danish championship in 2002 and 2003 and the Danish Cup in 2002, but got only little playing time, so he moved to Bjerringbro-Silkeborg in 2003. Due to good performance, however, he moved on to the Swedish second division team HF Kroppskultur after only nine months . With the men from the far north of Sweden, he rose to the first Swedish league in 2004, but also immediately relegated again in 2005, whereupon he went to league competitor Ystads IF HF . In 2007 he moved to the 2nd handball Bundesliga for TV Emsdetten . In the 2007/2008 season he was the third-best goal-getter in the 2nd Bundesliga North with 268 goals. At the beginning of November 2008 he was invited to the Danish national team for the first time and was nominated for a 4-country tournament in Graz / Austria, where he made his international debut on November 29th. On December 1, 2008, he moved to the Polish first division club KS Vive Kielce , with whom he won the championship in 2009. In the summer of 2011 Knudsen moved to the German Bundesliga club Bergischer HC . After the BHC was relegated to the 2nd Bundesliga a season later, he moved to the Danish second division club GOG Håndbold. After only two competitive games for GOG, Knudsen moved to the Belarusian first division club HC Meshkov Brest in September 2012. A year later he signed a contract with the Norwegian club Stord HK. In summer 2015 he will return to Ystads IF HF.
