Henrique Mitchell de Paiva Cabral Couceiro (born December 30, 1861 in São Mamede , Lisbon , † February 11, 1944 in São Sebastião da Pedreira , Lisbon) was a Portuguese soldier, colonial governor and monarchist politician.

He was best known for his career during the occupation of Mozambique after the British ultimatum and two attempts at overthrowing the First Portuguese Republic . From 1907 to 1909 he was the 89th colonial governor of the Portuguese colony of Angola . Because of his fight for the Portuguese monarchy, Paiva Couceiro had to serve several stays in exile. In exile he rose to become the leader of the monarchists, who mainly lived in Galicia, Spain. There he prepared several coups against the Portuguese Republic. Paiva Couceiro married his wife Júlia Maria do Carmo de Noronha on November 21, 1896 in Encarnação , with whom he had three daughters and two sons.
