Henry is an impact crater on the western edge of the lunar front , west of Mare Humorum , southeast of Henry Frères crater and northwest of Cavendish . The crater is moderately eroded with largely flat ground.

The crater was officially named by the IAU in 1970 after the American physicist Joseph Henry .
