Henry Bernhard (journalist)
Henry Bernhard (* 1969 in Brandenburg ) is a German journalist, director and author. Currently (as of November 2018) he is the state correspondent for Thuringia at Deutschlandfunk in Erfurt.
Life
Henry Bernhard spent his school days in Thuringia and studied politics , journalism , economics and public law in Göttingen. He has been working for radio since 1990, first as a reporter, since 1994 as an author of radio features and later as a director for MDR , NDR , Germany radio and television. In October 2013 he became a state correspondent in Thuringia for Deutschlandfunk.
He directed around 60 features on historical topics from Germany (as of 2011), shot some television documentaries and developed over 50 of his own features as an author. He is the author and co-author of 20 programs in the daily magazine “ Background ” on Deutschlandfunk.
