Sophie Schoenberger

Sophie-Charlotte Schönberger (* 1979 as Sophie-Charlotte Lenski ) is a German lawyer . She is a professor at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf .

Life

Schönberger initially studied technical and business mathematics in Berlin and from 2000 to 2005 law in Berlin, Rome and Paris . Her first state examination was followed by a doctorate at the Humboldt University in Berlin with a thesis entitled “Personal mass communication as a constitutional problem”. From 2005 to 2007 she was doing her legal clerkship in Berlin, with stations in Venice and Paris. After the second state examination followed by work at the University of Bayreuth and the University of Munich ( Habilitation ) until after a Visiting Professor in 2012 as Professor of Heads of State and Administrative Law , Media Law , Arts and Culture Law at the University of Konstanz was appointed.

In 2018, Schönberger took over the chair for public law, legal theory and legal sociology at the Heinrich Heine University in Düsseldorf as well as head of the interdisciplinary institute for German and international party law and party research from Martin Morlok .

She has been married to Christoph Schönberger since 2016 .

In 2018, she filed a constitutional lawsuit because the grand coalition increased party funding from the state treasury after party donations fell.
