Henry Disbrow Phillips
Henry Disbrow Phillips (born January 16, 1882 in Philadelphia , † June 29, 1955 in Boone , North Carolina ) was an American football player and Bishop of the Episcopal Church of the United States of America .
He studied at Sewanee College and was elected to the College Football Hall of Fame in 1959.
In 1938 he was ordained bishop by Henry St. George Tucker and Thomas C. Darst and Henry Judah Mikell . He was second diocesan bishop of Southwestern Virginia between 1938 and 1954 .
