Henry Huff
"Light" Henry Huff (born 1950 - March 25, 1993 in Chicago ) was an American jazz multi-instrumentalist.
Huff played a variety of instruments including woodwind , harp , balaphone , synthesizer , drums, and berimbau . He worked in Chicago with Sun Ra , Dee Alexander , Rita Warford, Sherri Scott, and Malachi Favors . Huff played regularly in the formation Breath (with Yosef Ben Israel and Avreeyal Ra ) and was a member of the Ethnic Heritage Ensemble around Kahil El'Zabar , to be heard on the two albums Three Gentlemen from Chicago (1981) and Impressions (1982). He died of lung disease at the age of 42. The singer Dee Alexander dedicated her CU on the Other Side to him .
