Henry William Lowry-Corry

Henry William Lowry-Corry ( June 30, 1845 - May 6, 1927 ) was a British politician of Irish origin.

Henry William Lowry-Corry was born in June 1845 to Armar Lowry-Corry, 3rd Earl Belmore and his wife Emily Louise Shepherd. Lowry-Corry attended Trinity College at the University of Cambridge , where he received a Master of Arts (MA). He served in the Coldstream Guards and held the rank of Colonel . From 1873 to 1880 he was a member of the House of Commons, where he represented County Tyrone . He also held the post of Deputy Lieutenant of Suffolk and was also Justice of the Peace of Suffolk.

Lowry-Corry was since September 21, 1876 with Blanche Edith Wood († July 21, 1921), the daughter of Charles Wood, 1st Viscount Halifax , married. The marriage had four children:

  • Alice Frances Louisa Lowry-Corry (* May 22, 1885 - † August 8, 1978)
  • Henry Charles Lowry-Corry (* February 20, 1887 - † December 23, 1973)
  • Frederick Richard Henry Lowry-Corry (* May 13, 1890 - † September 30, 1915)
