Henry Winkles

Henry Winkles (* around 1801 ; † around 1860 ) was an English draftsman , printer, and steel engraver who founded the first steel engraving studio in Germany with Carl Ludwig Frommel near Karlsruhe .

Together with Benjamin Winkles, Henry Winkles produced and illustrated a multi-volume work on cathedrals in England and Wales in 1836, which had an influence on British neo-Gothic in the 19th century. In 1852 Winkles visited his son in Ballarat, Australia, before returning to England in 1854.
