The Henschel DH 360 Ca locomotive is a three-axle diesel-hydraulic locomotive that was built by the Henschel works . It was intended for use in the shunting service. The wheel arrangement of the Henschel DH 360 Ca is C. The locomotive belongs to the so-called third generation of Henschel locomotives. The locomotives of this series were driven by a coupling rod.

The Henschel DH 360 Ca was built between 1958 and 1964 in 18 copies. Six of them went to Dortmund-Hörder Hüttenunion AG . Two locomotives were delivered to Switzerland and one to Spain.

The locomotive with the serial number 30321 went to the Rheinisch-Westfälische Kalkwerke AG in 1961. Later it was used as locomotive 37 at the Westfälische Lokomotiv-Fabrik Karl Reuschling GmbH & Co KG in Hattingen and now runs as locomotive 1 at the Association for the Maintenance of the Hespertalbahn e. V. in Essen-Kupferdreh.

Whereabouts

The whereabouts of ten of the 18 DH 360 Ca locomotives that were built are known. One last stood at a Swiss locomotive dealer. Two locomotives have been scrapped. The whereabouts of the other locomotives are unknown.
