Herbert Egg

Herbert Egg (born February 21, 1927 in Silz ) is a former Austrian politician ( SPÖ ) and trade union secretary. Egg was a member of the National Council from 1970 to 1983 .

Life

Egg attended middle school after elementary school and worked as an agent for the Tyrolean employment service. He continued his education at the Social Academy and studied office automation in the USA. From 1948 to 1954 Egg was regional chairman of the youth union of Tyrol in the union of private employees and held various intra-party functions in the SPÖ. In addition, he was a member of the state executive of the ÖGB Tirol, vice-president of the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees for Tirol and state secretary of the union of private employees in Tirol. Egg represented the SPÖ from March 31, 1970 to November 30, 1983 in the National Council.
