Mark Bomersback (born July 8, 1982 in Rochester , Alberta ) is a Canadian ice hockey player who was most recently under contract with the SCL Tigers in the National League A.

Career

Mark Bomersback began his career as a hockey player with the Canmore Eagles, for whom he made his debut in the Alberta Junior Hockey League in the 2002/03 season . That season he was named the league's MVP . He then attended Ferris State University for four years , for whose ice hockey team he played in the National Collegiate Athletic Association . During his university days, he was named Rookie of the Year in 2004 and his team's MVP in 2007.

In the 2007/08 season Bomersback made his professional ice hockey debut when he was active in parallel for the Iowa Stars in the American Hockey League and the Idaho Steelheads in the ECHL . In the following season , the winger ran again for Idaho in the ECHL. At the same time, he was on the ice for the AHL teams of the Providence Bruins , Syracuse Crunch and Binghamton Senators . The Canadian spent the 2009/10 season at HC Plzeň in the Czech extra league . There he was able to draw attention to himself with 20 goals and 26 assists in a total of 53 games, so that he was named Rookie of the Year in the Extraliga and signed for the 2010/11 season by Metallurg Novokuznetsk from the Continental Hockey League .

In August 2011 he completed a trial training with Lukko Rauma , where he then played for a year. In January 2013, Bomersback was signed by the SCL Tigers after being out of contract since the beginning of the 2012/13 season. With the Langnauers he rose to the National League B after losing league qualification against Lausanne HC . Bomersback subsequently received no new contract with the SCL Tigers.
