Herbert Gogel

Herbert Stefan Gogel (born September 22, 1954 in Munich ) is a German sports journalist and television presenter. He became known through the moderation of the show Blickpunkt Sport on Bavarian television .

After graduating from high school in 1974, Gogel studied communication studies as well as German and theater studies at the University of Munich. He then started working as a freelancer in the sports department of Bayerischer Rundfunk.

In 1981 he presented the show Blickpunkt Sport for the first time . This was followed by other broadcasts on the first and Bavarian television such as B. Bayern-Kini and match ball.

In 1992 Gogel switched to German sports television , today Sport1 , and continued to work there as a presenter and editor.

In 1994 he started his own production company.

From 2008 to 2011 he reported live for Sky from the tennis tournament at Wimbledon and golf tournaments. Gogel can currently be heard primarily in tennis on Sport1 and its pay-TV offshoot Sport1 +, as well as broadcasts on the online platform ran.de and the TV station Sat.1 Gold .
