Herbert Hausmann

Willy Herbert Hausmann (born April 10, 1902 in Kassel , † January 21, 1980 in Berlin ) was a German economist and politician of the SPD .

Life

Hausmann studied economics and received his doctorate in Jena in 1925 with a thesis on "The change in the legal position of the shareholder in the distribution of profits" .

From 1931 to 1933 he was a city councilor in Schweidnitz . After the National Socialists came to power, he had to give up his office and go into exile, including to the Netherlands.

After his return after the Second World War, he served in the Berlin Senate Reuter from 1951 to 1953 as Senator for Transport and Enterprises.
