Herbert Hobein

Herbert Hobein (born December 25, 1906 , † December 16, 1991 ) was a German hockey player .

Herbert Hobein made his debut in 1928 in the German national hockey team . At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , three players from the DHC Hanover were part of the German squad with him, Kurt Haverbeck and Heinz Wöltje . In the opening game, the German team won 5-1 against Spain, with Hobein scoring two goals, then lost 2-1 to the Dutch hosts. After a break against France Hobein was back in the game for third place, the German team beat Belgium 3-0 and won the bronze medal. Herbert Hobein played a total of 5 international matches from 1928 to 1936.
