Herbert James Campbell

Herbert "Bert" James Campbell (known as HJ Campbell * 18th November 1925 in London , England † in September, 1983 in Somerset ) was an English science fiction - author .

Life

Campbell studied chemistry and successfully completed his doctoral thesis in 1957 . His fiction work was limited to the years 1952–56 and included short stories and novels. During this time he was also editor of the magazine Authentic Science Fiction and published two anthologies . His novels and short stories have also been published under the pseudonyms John J. Deegan and Roy Sheldon. After 1956 he was so stressed by his actual job that he stopped writing science fiction; rather, he concentrated on his research results and published a large number of scientific articles about it.
