Herbert Junghanns (Film Production Manager)

Herbert Junghanns , also wrongly Herbert Junghans written (* 13 January 1907 in Königsberg (Prussia) ; † after 1984) was a German manager and production manager .

Life

The son of a police master attended high school and came early to film, where he u. a. became managing director of the UFA-Theater-Betriebe Berlin. In the next decade and a half, since 1936, he has been the production manager of a large number of films, including The Girl Irene , My Son, the Minister , Diamonds, Guest Performance in Paradise, A Girl Goes ashore , Heimatland, Waldrausch , Jungens , Der Kleinstadtpoet , Annelie , June 5th , crew Dora , the woman of my dreams , 1-2-3 Corona , quartet of five,The Bagnostrafling , The Staircase, Wedding Night in Paradise and Secret of a Marriage . In the years 1953 to 1955 he was temporarily promoted to production manager and in this function was also involved in two successful productions by Helmut Käutner .

Nevertheless, Herbert Junghanns then had to accept a temporary professional decline and was only employed again as a unit manager and production assistant until the end of the 1950s. At the end of 1959 Junghanns switched to television and enjoyed great success there until the mid-1960s with the production of several crime street sweepers based on models by Francis Durbridge , including Melissa with Ruth Maria Kubitschek in the title role. In 1970 Junghanns was also involved in the production of the much discussed viel / Toelle production Das Millionenspiel . Herbert Junghanns ended his television work with two crime scene crime stories about the WDR customs investigator Kressin and retired.
