Herbert Kargl

Herbert Kargl (born March 8, 1936 in Troppau ) is a German business IT specialist .

Life

Kargl studied industrial engineering at the Technical University of Darmstadt , received his doctorate in 1967 and completed his habilitation in 1971 at the Technical University of Munich .

From 1972 until his retirement in 2001 he held the chair for general business administration and business informatics at the University of Mainz . He is also a lecturer at the Wiesbaden Administration and Business Academy , where he built up the subject of business informatics as a part-time course from 2001.

His main research areas include IT controlling and the management of IT projects.
