Herbert Meißner (politician)

Herbert Meißner (born October 15, 1936 in Prieros , Beeskow / Storkow district, Brandenburg) is a German politician ( SPD ) and former district administrator.

Meißner trained as a machine fitter, attended the engineering school in Berlin and became a technician . Later he went to the engineering school for traffic engineering (Dresden) and became a graduate engineer , then he also attended the Humboldt University in Berlin .

In November 1989 Meißner joined the SPD. From 1990 to 1998 he sat in the German Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Luckenwalde - Zossen - Jüterbog - Königs Wusterhausen constituency .
