Herbert Renz upholstery
Herbert Renz-Polster (born February 25, 1960 in Stuttgart ) is a German pediatrician , scientist and author.
Life
Herbert Renz-Polster studied human medicine in Gießen , Munich and Tübingen from 1982 to 1989 . In 1986 he wrote his doctoral thesis in Pakistan on the subject of eye complications in leprosy . From 1991 to 1995 he was a lecturer in a specialist medical book publisher, where he helped his twin brother Ulrich Renz to set up a specialist medical book publisher.
From 1995 to 2002 he completed his specialist training as a pediatrician and continued his scientific education in the USA (research focus: epidemiology of allergic diseases). He worked as a scientist at the Mannheim Institute for Public Health at Heidelberg University - from 2006 to 2010 as a research assistant and since 2011 as an associated scientist on a project basis. He is primarily concerned with child development from the perspective of behavior and evolutionary research.
With his bestseller Understanding Children, published in 2009, he positioned himself as an expert on parenting issues.
