Ulrich Renz (writer)

Ulrich Renz (born February 25, 1960 in Stuttgart ) is a German writer .

biography

After graduating from high school and doing community service, Ulrich Renz lived in Paris , where he studied French literature, Spanish and Russian . In 1983 Renz moved to Lübeck to study medicine. During his studies, Renz had started to write medicine books, namely the pocket book series Klinikleitfaden , which he founded together with Arne Schäffler in Lübeck. From 1989 Renz worked for the medical and science publishers Jungjohann and Gustav Fischer , first as a lecturer , then as managing director . In 1998 Renz ended his publishing career and has been working as a freelance author ever since . In addition to non-fiction, Renz writes books for children and young people.

Ulrich Renz lives in Lübeck with his wife Kirsten Bödeker and three children.

He is the twin brother of Herbert Renz-Polster .
