Herbert Schneider (politician, 1942)

Herbert Schneider (born June 22, 1942 in Wiesbaden ) is a German politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

Schneider was born the son of a bricklayer. After attending elementary school, he trained as a cliché etcher and then worked as a lithographer . He joined the IG Druck und Papier and the DGB and later became a union secretary. Today he is chairman of the board of directors and insured person representative of AOK Hessen .

Political party

Schneider is a member of the SPD.

MP

Schneider was a councilor for the city of Wiesbaden from 1972 to 1974. He was a member of the Hessian state parliament from 1974 to 1991. He was elected in what was then the Wiesbaden III constituency.
