Herbert Trube
Herbert Trube ( Herbert Lawrence "Herb" Trube ; born September 3, 1886 in Brooklyn , New York City , † July 13, 1959 in Norwalk , Connecticut ) was an American middle and long-distance runner .
In the three-mile team race at the 1908 Olympic Games in London, he finished ninth and won silver with his US teammates John Eisele and George Bonhag . In the five-mile run, he was eliminated in the preliminary round.
In 1908 he became US champion in the mile run .
