Hercules is an impact crater on the northeastern front of the moon on the southeastern edge of Mare Frigoris . It lies to the west of the somewhat larger Atlas crater. In contrast to Atlas , its bottom has no fracture structures, but - apart from the Hercules G secondary crater - is largely flat. The wall is terraced several times.
