The Herculessletta is a 750 m high and icy plateau in the East Antarctic Queen Maud Land . In the freestyle mountains of Maudheimvidda it lies south of the Plogbreen .
Scientists from the Norwegian Polar Institute named it in 1970. It is named after the Lockheed C-130 Hercules of the United States Navy , which was in service from 1968 to 1969 for the Third Norwegian Antarctic Expedition (1956-1960).
