Here comes Honey Boo Boo is an American reality documentary soap that was broadcast from August 2012 to October 2014 on the US network TLC . In German-speaking countries, the series was shown on TLC Germany from April 14, 2014 . The series is an offshoot of the reality TV documentary series Toddlers & Tiaras .

The series follows the life of Alana "Honey Boo Boo" Thompson, who was six at the beginning of the series, and her family. Alana lives in McIntyre , Georgia with her mother June, father Mike, and older sisters Lauryn, Jessica, and Anna . The family, which can be assigned to the American lower class ( White Trash ), became known on the reality show Toddlers & Tiaras , in which she allowed Alana to participate in beauty pageants. At the end of the first season, the eldest daughter Anna herself becomes the mother of a daughter. In season two, June marries long-time boyfriend and Alana's father, Mike Thompson.

The twelve-part third season followed from January 16 to March 6, 2014, the fourth from June 19, 2014.
TLC Germany began broadcasting the series on April 14, 2014.
Although another season has already been filmed, TLC retired the series on October 24, 2014 in the United States after it became known that June Shannon was alleged to be in contact with a criminal convicted of child sexual abuse who has a history of the eldest of her own children is said to have molested. The format can no longer be seen in Germany either; all online content has been removed from the broadcaster's website and Facebook page.
