Hergenstadt is a small settlement southeast of Adelsheim in the Neckar-Odenwald district in Baden-Württemberg with around 70 inhabitants.
history
The place was first mentioned in 1469 as Hergenstal when it was given in an exchange from Eberhard von Berlichingen to Jörg von Adelsheim. In the place there is a chapel and the last clay marble factory in Germany.
